There are so many posts or blogs about this topic and I adore the peeps that do such helpful information about these 2 competing products. Well, it’s my turn to benchmark their effort in expressing some views about these products.
First and foremost, “first off” for some uncommon others, let’s talk about who made these goods available for consumption. Century corned tuna is just one of the products of Century Canning Corporation. Well, it’s should be shame if you are not familiar with their products tho. As far as I know, they’re up to making products for health-conscious people. Hmmp, I don’t have to name their products since their company name is already a slogan for their merchandise. Now let’s go to the other product I am talking about in this post, San Marino Corned Tuna. At first, it was mystery who made the product to compete with century corned tuna. Some post or blogs say San Marino got to the market first with regards to the product line, but it shouldn’t matter for me since we are talking about competition, anyway, they are just close to public availability. When I tried to gaze on the packaging, the can let’s say, I discovered that it’s Foodsphere Inc who produced the product. Well, Foodsphere Inc. is the same company producing CDO products. Carne Norte and Ulam burger to name a few. Its just so amazing to know that they are going out of the box to create such great product, corned tuna. Kudos, I would exclaim.
Now let’s go to how our taste buds would appreciate these competing products. I got to taste Century Corned Tuna first since publicity wise, the name just sound so common to buy. Well, it tasted good. Metro Colon didn’t have any variation with the product expect the “chilli” one. Anyway, I liked the taste. It took me quite some time to try San Marino Corned Tuna. I got the chance to taste it after a grocery sampler called me to grab a taste of their product. Hmmmm, its salty compared to century’s corned tuna. So I preferred to patronize century corned tuna then. However, the availability of century corned tuna just got scarce, and I end up buying its competitor, San Marino’s. I bought 3 since I got use to having a breakfast with tuna, not the entire can tho, since I am bringing the other half to work for lunch, cutting expenses it is. After consuming 3 cans, I realized, hey I’m loving the product, and century’s taste is already archaic for me. Well, my last purchase was still for San Marino. But everytime I got to eat century, my buds still love its yummy flavor.
Which is which now? San Marino or Century? Hehehehe… you? Which do you prefer?
